| Description | The Poulton-le-Fylde Gas Coal Lime and Coke Co Ltd was formed in 1885. An Act of 1888 authorised the Poulton-le-Fylde Local Board to purchase the undertaking within 14 years if constituted as a district council. In 1901 the purchase was confirmed and a further Order in 1924 extended the area of supply to Singleton and Hardhorn-cum-Newton. The works were on Station Road, Poulton. The undertaking vested in the Fylde Group of the NWGB in 1949. This collection contains only four items: a site plan, insurance papers, and two technical records. [1924 - 1949] |
