Description	Droylsden Station was founded in 1851 by the Droylsden Gas Company and was run by them until 1856 when the firm dissolved. Droylsden New Gas Company Ltd. then took over the Station until it was sold to Manchester Corporation in 1869. This site closed in 1949.
