Description	Formed in 1866 as the Ambleside District Gas and Water Co. Ltd, the undertaking transferred to the ownership of Ambleside UDC in 1895.The gasworks were at Blue Hill / Church St in Ambleside. In 1949 the undertaking became part of the Kendal Group of the NWGB. There are only four estate and property items in this collection relating to building and plant. [1902 - 1937]
