| Description | This company was formed in 1846 as the Kendal Union Gas and Water Company. It was purchased by Kendal Corporation in 1895. The works were on Park Side Road in Kendal. In 1936 an Order extended the area of supply to include Underbarrow, Natland, Skelsmergh and Bradleyfield. In 1949 the undertaking became part of the Kendal group of the NWGB. This collection contains mainly estate and property records. There is one volume of minutes and a small series of building records and technical drawings. [1859 - 1915] |
