Title	GOLBORNE GAS COMPANY
Description	This company was formed in 1867 as a limited company. The area was also included in the Leigh District Gas Company's limits of supply in an Act of 1861 but the Leigh undertaking did not extend its supply to Golborne. In 1901 the Golborne Gas Co Ltd was reincorporated by Act of Parliament. Its works were on Wood St in Golborne. In 1949 it became part of the South Lancashire Group of the NWGB. There are only estate, finance and legal records in this collection. They include blueprints of plant, share records and copies of title deeds. [1867 - 1950]
