Title	WHITCHURCH (SALOP) GAS COMPANY LTD.
Description	The Whitchurch (Salop) Gas Co Ltd was formed in 1854 as the Whitchurch and Dodington GLC Co. The company was reformed and incorporated by Memorandum and Articles of Association in 1896 as the Whitchurch (Salop) Gas Co Ltd. The works were on Sherrymill Hill alongside the canal. In 1935 the company was taken over by the Severn Valley Gas Corporation Ltd. At nationalisation the undertaking formed part of the Mid-Cheshire Group of the NWGB. This collection contains administrative records of formation, minutes and anual reports and accounts, financial records including wages and share records, legal and personnel records.
